10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it. I am going to make a comic strip. im going to make this because it could get the attention of the 6th graders. It will also teach the about the design cycle in a easy way. They were be no confusing for the 6th graders in the comic strip. The comic strip will help them and make it fun when they are learning it .
Formulate a Design Specification
11. What are the requirements for this assignment? The requirement i want my project to have is the it is simple for the 6th graders and teach about the design cycle.I also want it only to be 2 minutes long.
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment? The 2 minutes could be a limitation because it wouldnt be enough time to explain the design cycle. another thing that could be a limitation is the pictures in the comic strip.
13. How will you "test" your project? I will test my project by first getting a group of 4 6th graders to tell me what they think about the project. I will also ask them what could i do to make my project better. I will give them a test about the project to see if they learn from my comic strip. If they all pass the test then that means they have learn from the comic strip.

My grade

I rated myself a 1-2. Yes i have rated myself a 60-70 because i think i am not really sure i am doing the process right. I also rated me this because i had some difficulty making it and writing it in my blog. It has ben hard to choose what i was going to do i had to do lots of investigation between the comic book and the flip book. It was hard to decided which on i was going to do. It took me a long time to decied between the both thats why i dont dersever anything higher than 1-2.

Comic strip

In the comic strip i rated it a 3 in simplicity. I rated it this because when i was trying to do it i had a hard time try to make it. It took me a long time to find the way how to type on the comic strip. It also took me long to find out how many comic strips i will put in it.  I had to get the pictures from the internet and it wont be easy to find pictures that match to what i will talk about. The pictures also could come from pictuers of cartoon that would get the attention of most people. It was also i good thing because the comic strip will be easy to read. It would also would be fun to make the comic strip.
The themes i rated it 4 because it is hard to match the themes with what i am going to write in the comic strip. It would also be hard to get themes that match the other themes that im going to put in the comic strip. The themes are also a good thing in the comic strip because when i put them it will get the attention of the 6th who im trying to teach the design cycle. the theme will be fun to put the themes to match the design cycle.
In color i rated it a 3 because in the comic strip it is hard to color the background. It wiil not have lots of colors in the background. the pictures i wiil put they will have to have color to balance out the noncoloring of the background. I could also find a way to make the letter i type to come out colorful. If i could make them coorful they it would be more instering to read the comic strip. If i dont put any color then not lots of people would like to read it. It wouldnt be the same if it didnt have any color.
In entertainment i rated it a 5 because it could be very fun to look at the comic strip. it could also keep lots of people instearded why they are looking at it. it could also explain what i am trying to teach to them. It is a fun and helpful thing to lots of people. it could keep the 6th graders very into the project cause lots of people like to read comic strip. If they like to read comic strips then they will like to read the one i will make.

Flip Book

In simplicity i rated it a 4. I rated it a 4 because a flip book could be kind of easy but also could be hard to create the flip book. The flip book could be simplicity because even  it takes me some time it could be easy to work the flip book but i could also have a little trouble working with it. It could be pretty hard to draw my drawings because i am not that good at drawing. It is easy to put the words in the flip book. This is easy because you just type on the words to the flip book and that doesnt take as much work to do.
In the themes i rated it a 4 because it could be hard to find a good thing to put as my theme in the flip book. It will be hard to draw the theme. If i decide to do it by hand it could be hard to draw the theme. I could ask for some help for someone that is good at drawing if the could help me draw the theme. If i decide to use the computer with my flip book then it will be a little harder to draw the themes with my mouse. It could be hard to keep the mouse standy to draw the themes.
The color i rated it is a 5 because in the flip book i could change the color into different color. This will help me make my flip book very colorful and get the attention of the 6th graders with the color. I could change the color of ever picture to whatever color i want to put it as. I could also put color in the background. If it is more colorful then it will be more instring and get the attention of the people.
In entertainment i rated it a 4 because some people will like it and other people will not like the flip book and think it is entertainment. the flip book will get most of the students attention and teach them the design cycle. If it does get there attention then they will learn the design cycle and stay instring to the flip book. if it doesnt then they will not learn what the other students are learning.

Day 2 Investigation

i decide to make a flip book. i went to the website Mrs. Hinojosa's put on her blog and went to a link that took me to where i could create a flip book. i went to through the links that where there and i decide to use benttonplay. in this website i started to create a flip book . through the flip book i could get the attention of the 6th graders.
My options where between making a flip book or a comic strip. i used both of them. in the comic strip i could pictures from the internet but that wouldnt be origen. in the flip book i could write

Design Folder

Area of Interaction: Community and Service , Approaches to Learning & Human Ingenuity
Significant Concept: Design Cycle can be used to solve problems
Unit Question: How can my learning help my community? How do I make Sound Choices?
INVESTIGATE: (Write in complete sentences) Identify the Problem
1. What is the problem you need to solve? Explain to a 6th grader what the design cycle is all about by creating a presentation. (3d, PPT, movie, game, Poster)
2. How does the Design Cycle apply to the real world? the design cycle will help us in our problems in the world and can help use solve the problem too.
3. How will this project serve my community? the project will help my community because it could help them finish a project and get a good grade.
4. How can my learning help my community? my learning can help because if i learn i could help other learn the stuff i learned
5. How do we live in relation to each other? we all help each other when the help is need.
6. How does this help others? this helps others because it could help them get good grade in there project
7. What are the requirements for this assignment? the requirement are to teach the 6th graders about the Design cycle.
8. What is the Design Cycle? the design cycle is a series of steps that help you with your project and through other little projects.
REFLECT on your learning.
Day 2
9. Spend one day experimenting with DESIGN CYCLE your presentation. List five things your learned about the Design Cycle: 1. all steps need to be work with for a certain amount of time

Day 3
Design Brief
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.
Formulate a Design Specification
11. What are the requirements for this assignment?
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?
13. How will you "test" your presentation?
REFLECT ON YOUR LEARNING
PLAN:
14. Brainstorm ideas. Use the chart below
IB Brainstorming Chart .pdf found in schoology under “materials”& then files
15. What idea did you choose to demonstrate the design cycle and why did you choose it?
16. Does your idea meet all of the requirements?
17. Use the story board paper below to plan your presentation.  Include how many levels you will have, what will be on each level, how will you include teaching skills to young students, and what will your questions be about.
story board.pdf found in schoology under “materials” & then files.
18. Explain how you will use your time to get your project finished in 12 days:
REFLECT on your learning
EVALUATE:
20. How could you improve your presentation?
21. Does your presentation meet all of the requirements?
